We buy fewer watches and look at each one closely. This is what happens before a piece reaches the shop.
Tested
Run and checked to make sure it keeps accurate time.
Inspected
Case, crystal, dial and strap examined. Wear is shown in the photos and described in the listing.
Prepared
Quartz pieces are fitted with a fresh battery before they ship.
Packed
Presented in a gift box and sent with tracked shipping, ready to wear or to give.

Care notes
A watch that has already lasted decades will last many more with a little care. These are the basics we send with every order.
- Keep it away from water and moisture. Most vintage watches are not waterproof.
- Keep it away from strong magnets and extreme temperatures.
- Store it somewhere dry when you're not wearing it.
- Clean it gently with a soft, dry cloth.
- Wind mechanical watches carefully, and stop when you feel resistance.
- An occasional service keeps it running well for the long term.
